Fasteners for Twinwall & Multiwall Polycarbonate Panels
When installing multiwall polycarbonate panels, selecting the appropriate glazing systems and fasteners is crucial for achieving a secure and effective installation. Here are the things you should know before buying fasteners for twinwall and multiwall polycarbonate panels.

Recommended Fasteners
- For soft woods, such as fir, pine, cedar, or spruce, we recommend using a minimum of #10 coarse screws.
- For metal structures (like aluminum or steel), opt for #10 self-drilling screws.
- Important Note: To ensure a secure fit, fasteners must penetrate the roof or wall of your structure by at least one inch.
Polycarbonate Panel Washers
To further enhance the integrity of your panel installation, it is essential to use washers. Use at least a 1/2″ non-conductive EPDM bonded washer.
Larger washers can be utilized if desired, but ensure the minimum outside diameter of the washer is 1/2″.
Special Considerations for Windy Areas
In regions prone to heavy winds, we recommend using either:
- 1″ Diameter Neoprene Bonded Steel Washers
- 1″ Diameter Neoprene Bonded Bubble Steel Washers
